(12) Shand & Jurs Flame Arresters are designed
to provide a positive flame stop on low pressure
tanks containing flammable liquids or solvents
having low flash points. Shand & Jurs Flame Arresters are generally
installed with pressure-vacuum vents, or in-line
free vent to atmosphere. The tube bank design
consisting of a spiral-wound crimped ribbon around
a solid core, maximize flow capacity with minimum
pressure drop. This unique design meets FM
Factory Mutual approval for all sizes and material
options.
Standard construction includes light weight cast
aluminum, cast iron, cast steel, 304 stainless steel
and 316 stainless steel body materials suitable
for most environments.
(3) When using the MCG 7000, up to 128 separate alarm probes can be monitored using a single, 4 wire data highway. If the system is used as a controller, it can monitor 48 individually wired alarm probes. The system uses an 80 character LCD to provide immediate alarm data, and a paper tape printer to automatically print alarms as they occur, and for output of a daily event log.
(4) Most gauging technologies are based on incremental movements of a float or displacer on the product, limiting their accuracy to the incremental size. Megnetostrictive technology, however, has the advantage of being a continuous level measurement and is limited by only by the speed and accuracy of the microprocessor timer circuits. Megnetostrictive gauges also have the advantage of no directly connected mechanical parts. The float slides up and down the outside of the gauge rod.
(4) With these temperature probes/detectors you can accurately measure up to +/-0.5º F, via resistance and averaging methods. You can accurately measure temperature for inventory process control, volume correction for custody transfer applications and corrected volumes.

(7) Shand & Jurs manhole covers are designed as economical solutions that provide ready access to product storage tanks by means of an easily opened hinged cover. With these emergency vent/manhole covers you can effectively relieve emergency pressure of excessive internal pressures and vacuum beyond that provided by tank breather requirements.
(3) Shand & Jurs gauge hatches are designed to provide easy access to storage tanks for gauging product level or temperature and product sampling. They are available in a variety of sizes and mounts.
Shand & Jurs PVC Conservation Valves are designed for highly corrosive service where toxic liquids are stored. They are an excellent alternative to coated metal construction, where frequent corrosion due to the presence of pinholes is a problem. PVC valves are intended to provide pressure and/or vacuum relief on atmospheric storage tanks requiring normal venting
Tank gas blanking helps prevent emission of flammable and toxic vapors into atmosphere. To minimize the loss of valuable product or the release of hazardous waste, install an S&J 94270 to prevent vaporization. Available in vertical and horizontal mounts they feature: interchangeable flow rates, easy maintenance, minimal dead band and 316 stainless steel fittings.
(3) Shand & Jurs “Non-Freezing” valves utilize a double valve construction, which operates on the same stem permitting the inner valve to seat first. This action allows the valve chamber to drain sufficiently before the outer valve is closed. An exceptional tight seal is maintained, due to the resilient glass-filled Teflon seat disc on both the inner and outer valve.
The Shand & Jurs Model 94261 Vapor Recovery Regulator is a float-operated pressure regulator utilizing a weight balanced float to establish a set point. This highly accurate and extremely sensitive regulator is used to maintain close pressure control of low pressure tanks and meets requirements for vapor recovery.
The primary purpose of this vent is to conserve vapor loss before atmospheric venting or to provide a closed venting system. It has the capacity of providing simple adjustment of set points by adding or removing weights.
