1500 Series

Series 1500 Laminated Bellows Expansion Joints

Series 1500 Laminated Bellows Expansion Joints are designed for installations where the principal movement is axial. Standard designs are 2” through 14” NPS with 2” or 3”axial compression. Service conditions are 150 PSIG or 300 PSIG to 500°F. The bellows element is integrated into the design to provide the minimum effective area and resulting pressure thrust. The laminated construction results in the optimum cycle life and lowest possible spring constant. A stainless steel flow liner is standard with negligible reduction of flow area and resulting flow interference. Standard Series 1500 Laminated Bellows Expansion Joints are available from stock, and they have a Five year full replacement warranty.

Series 2500 Main

Series 2500 Low Pressure Round & Rectangular Expansion Joints

Series 2500 expansion joints have been specifically designed for round and rectangular low pressure duct and piping applications. Applications such as diesel engine exhaust, gas turbine exhaust, ventilation ducting, and boiler exhaust ducting. The designs are highly flexible, and a variety of materials are available for high temperatures or corrosive applications. Specifications vary for each product group but in general Series 2500 round expansion joints are designed for pressures ranging from full vacuum to 15 psig.

Series 3500

Series 3500 Externally Pressurized Expansion Joints

Series 3500 Externally Pressurized Expansion Joints are designed for installations where the principal movement is axial. Standard single and dual designs are available 2” through 24” NPS with 4” through 16” axial compression. Service conditions are 150 and 300 psig to 500°F. Welded and flanged end connections are standard, with grooved ends optional. Standard in-line pressure balanced configurations are available 2” through 24” NPS with 4”, 6” & 8” axial travel rated for 150 & 300 psig to 500°F. The bellows element of Series 3500 Expansion Joints is completely enclosed and externally pressurized whichprevents damage to the bellows and eliminates pressure instability. ...

Series 4500

Series 4500 Metal Hose Pump Connectors

Series 4500 Metal Hose Pump Connectors are designed to be adjacent to mechanical equipment to isolate vibration, absorb small movements and to facilitate installation. The metal hose and braid are heavy duty industrial weight products. Hyspan Metal Hose Pump Connectors are manufactured by Universal Metal Hose and inventoried in Chicago.

Series 4500 V-Flex

Series 4500 V-Flex Connectors

Series 4500 V-Flex Connectors are designed to absorb thermal expansion or contraction, or for seismic isolation of steel pipe or copper tube installations. The braided metal hose elements that are incorporated into the design offer benefits that are not available in other products that are used for these applications, and the unique Hyspan "V" configuration provides advantages over other metal hose connectors.

Series 5500 Bellows Pump Connectors

Series 5500 Bellows Pump Connectors

Series 5500 Bellows Pump Connectors are designed for installation adjacent to mechanical equipment to isolate vibration, absorb small pipe movements and to provide flexibility during installation. The bellows element is laminated (3 ply minimum) for maximum flexibility and fatigue resistance. Standard configurations include integral full thrust limit rods to react the full pressure thrust or compression for vacuum conditions.

Series 6500 PERMA-PAX® Packed Expansion Joints

Series 6500 Packed Expansion Joints

Series 6500 Packed Expansion Joints are designed for installations where the principal movement is axial. Standard single and dual designs are available 2" through 24" diameter with travels of 4", 8" and 12" compression for single designs, and 8", 16" and 24" compression for dual designs. Service conditions are 150 and 300 psig to 500&Mac176;F. Welded and flanged end connections are standard, with grooved ends optional. Series 6500 expansion joints incorporate design features that are not available from other manufacturers. They include a one piece body which eliminates a circumferential weld, line bored aluminum bronze metal inner and outer guides, and an optimized sealing system consisting of carbon fiber graphite impregnated braided ...

Series 8500 Expansion Compensators

Series 8500 Expansion Compensators

Series 8500 Expansion Compensators are designed for installations where the principal movement is axial. Standard designs are 3/4” through 4” for steel pipe and copper tube with 2” or 3”axial compression. Service conditions are 200 psig to 500°F. Steel pipe ends are threaded, welded, grooved or flanged. Copper tube ends are male or female sweat connections. The bellows element of Series 8500 Expansion Compensators is completely enclosed and externally pressurized which prevents damage to the bellows and eliminates pressure instability. The pipe or tube telescopes into the compensator providing a smooth full bore, and isolates the bellows from the flow. Series 8500 products are available from stock and have a ...

Series 9500 Alignment Guide

Series 9500 Alignment Guides

Hyspan Series 9500 Alignment Guides are designed to be installed adjacent to expansion joints and loops, and as intermediate guides in steel pipe and copper tube runs to maintain the centerline of the pipe/tube. Pipe or copper tube systems that incorporate expansion joints, ball joints or loops to absorb expansion must include three major elements:main and/or intermediate anchors, supports and alignment guides. Main anchors are required in systems that include unrestrained expansion joints to react pressure thrust, the expansion joint spring or friction force and the friction force of the guides and supports. Intermediate anchors are required in systems where pressure thrust is restrained but the expansion joint or loop spring or ...
